SWATH

SWATH is a novel measurement technique that monitors fragment ions over a large precursor m/z range with a high resolution in time (typically a few seconds cycle time). The resulting measurements can be analyzed similarly to MRM experiments. The advantage of SWATH is that in a single run a large number of peptides can be measured in a targeted fashion. Biognosys contributed in developing the strategy to analyze SWATH data as pseudo-MRM with mQuest/mProphet [1].

Biognosys has been awarded a federal grant of CHF 1.5m to further develop this technology with the inventor Ruedi Aebersold at the ETH Zurich.
