Johan has a broad interdisciplinary and international background with experience from pharmaceutical industry, biotech industry and academia. Johan obtained his PhD in a joint collaboration between Lund University and AstraZeneca R&D Lund with the focus of finding drug target candidates for asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). 

In 2001 Johan won the Medicon Valley Entrepreneurship Award 2001 and he was 2nd in Sweden’s Venture Cup 2001 competition shortly after he co-founded Ludesi AB a company developing image analysis tools for gel-based proteomics where he also worked as CSO. In 2003 Johan joined the Institute for Systems biology in Seattle for his first postdoctoral training and later in 2004 he transferred to ETH Zurich, Switzerland for a second postdoctoral training period. During this time Johan was involved in the development and application of the MRM targeted proteomics technologies, which eventually led to the founding of Biognosys.

Philipp’s focus throughout his academic education was to acquire a wide knowledge in business and science aspects of applied life science. His study in chemistry was accompanied with a range of courses in law, economics (bachelor) and sports in Marburg, London and Zurich. Philipp showed his entrepreneurial interest while co-founding the stock consulting company “doersam daily” (http://www.doersam-brief.de/) during high school time. As a co-founder of Biognosys and he won the Venture Leader Prize (Switzerland) in 2009. Philipp's responsibilities at Biognosys includes operations, organization and finances.

Yulia is an experienced manager with a broad professional background in an international environment.  She graduated in Environmental Medicine and Immunology in Minsk, Belarus and obtained her PhD degree in Human Biology from Philipps-University Marburg, Germany. She also holds a MBA from INSEAD (Singapore / France).

Yulia started her career as a founder of a biotech start-up in Belarus in the field of molecular diagnostic of infectious diseases. After completing her PhD she worked in various roles in clinical development and marketing at Novartis Pharma in Germany. Prior joining Biognosys Yulia was an Investment Manager at Creathor Venture where she was in charge of the Life Science portfolio and new investments in Biotech / Pharma fields.

At Biognosys Yulia is responsible for the development of the company's long-term strategy and business model optimization as well as for marketing and business development.
